Yoga is a physical,  mental, and spiritual , discipline aimed to transform body and mind. The term yoga is derived from the literal meaning of “yoking together” a span of horses or oxen, but came to be applied to the “yoking” of mind and body. Yoga commonly known for stretching and poses, can also involve breathing exercises, dancing, mediation, imagery, and chanting,  and more, done for helping to maintain and improving health, of the body , mind and spirit. There are a multitude of styles, a variety of schools, practices and goals, emphasizing different aspects of wellness depending on the origin of the style.
