The Institute

The Institute started as a thought I had one day,

that became a bigger idea, that became a mission to create,  that became a reality

About eight years ago I had the good fortune of being laid off from my corporate job, and had the amazing opportunity to create the career  I imagined. I went to horse training school for 2.5 years, increased the number of animal acupressure and massage classes, and other clinics  I was already teaching in my home, took on more animal massage and acupressure clients, and began giving Western and Spanish dressage lessons, as well as training horses. I created a career where I could be my own boss, work at home most of the time, doing what I love, especially teaching.

I love to learn and I have been a student my entire life. I have a degree in Architecture, a Certification in Equine Management and Horse Training, Certification in Animal Massage and Acupressure, Certified in Reiki,  Certified in Western Dressage,  I am self taught in Traditional Chinese Medicine, human acupressure, homeopathies, essential oils, Bach Flowers, and many more alternate modalities. I have extensive training in QiGong, Meridian Exercise, and I am a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. I am not boosting of my knowledge, just pointing out I  love to learn!

I taught Tae Kwon Do for 15 years, and Animal Acupressure and Massage, Horsemanship, and various holistic modalities for over 10 years. I love to teach! My first Karate instructor taught me the biggest gift you can give is to teach what you know, and the biggest reward is that your student will become more knowledgeable than you.

So one day, finding myself with a great training location where I love to teach,  I had a thought: I am surrounded by amazing holistic human and animal practitioners, wouldn’t it be great if they would teach what they love, and pass on their knowledge to others, too.  This thought became a bigger idea,  to offer my facility to the practitioners as a place to teach.  I shared my idea with my  great friend, Bill Pelkey, and with his amazing support, we embarked on a mission to create an institute for educating the body, mind, and spirit.

Rocky Mountain Holistic Healing Arts Institute is now a reality, and we are offering you the opportunity to take an educational journey with our amazing practitioners.
